Tokyo hosts the 2020 Olympic

By CNN news, The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that TOKYO elected as the venue of the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2020 at the general meeting open in Argentina Buenos Aires.
This will be the Tokyo's second host experience since 1964.

In the host city announcement ceremony, the venue was announced as "TOKYO !" by IOC Chairman, Jacques Rogge with somewhat shrill peculiar voice.

Candidate cities were Tokyo in Japan, Istanbul in Turkey and Madrid in Spain.
Vote which decides on a venue was performed twice.
The 1st vote was insufficient although Tokyo Japan and Turkey Istanbul were the top. But Madrid droped out.
Tokyo was finaly elected on the 2nd final vote of "Tokyo VS Turkey", and holding at the Olympic Games in 2020 was decided.



Venues of Olympic Games are the 33 places in the metropolitan area

The venue of the Tokyo convention will be comparatively compact institution arrangement in 2020.
The 28 institutions are located in an 8km in radius within the circle among the venues of 33 in the Tokyo metropolitan region.

Athletes' dormitories will be at the "Harumi wharves".
It is close also to the center and the shopping quarter in Tokyo.

In the Tokyo Olympics 2020, athletes' dormitories will be installed in the "Harumi wharf" which is one of the vestibules leading to the outside of the main seas in Tokyo.

In addition, there are some items such as "Mes's baseball" or "Women's softball", etc. which will not existed at 2020 games.

Linear Motor Car

According to Chunichi Shimbun, JR Tokai released the concrete plan of the station and the route between Tokyo-Nagoya of the linear Shinkansen (linear motor car/linear Chuo Shinkansen).
[Commencement of business]
Commencement of business is aimed at in 2027. Though regrettable, it is not enough for Tokyo Olympic Games.
[Route]
Shinagawa (Tokyo), Sagamihara (Kanagawa), Yamanashi (Yamanashi), Iida (Nagano), Nakatsugawa (Gifu), and Nagoya (Aichi). A route map is referring to the Chunichi Shimbun site.
[Time]
Between Tokyo-Nagoya is connected in 40 minutes. The plan to carry out 10 run proper per hour by an average of 144 per day at the maximum.
[Fee]
11,480 yen is assumed between Tokyo Nagoya. (A part for the reserved seat charge of +700 yen of Tokaido Shinkansen "Nozomi")
And also, there is a plan to extend to Osaka in 2045, and it takes 67 minutes between Tokyo-Osaka.
[Construction expense]
5,400 billion yen (being to Osaka, total of 9,030 billion yen) estimately.
